Based on my http pull tasks, the time of the DAT release varies. It usually gets released between 10.30am and as lates as 3pm US CST. I tend to make our pull tasks check with McAfee every 15 minutes. That way our server won't miss the daily DAT and any emergency DAT that could get released to solve say some issue with False Positives.
Thanks for the info.
I was thinking to do something similar these days, to just make a repeat task to run every 2 hours or something. So yea, I might just change it just to check every couple of hours instead, but I was hoping to try and check and replicate as little as possible but still get them, but then again, I guess pulling and replicating nothing doesn't do much damage to the bandwidth.
I've never actually seen any emergency DAT come out before happy
At the momment I have set it to run every 2 hours, I think that is often enough (probably too often).
But I guess it means I can keep monitoring the times that the DAT is found, possibly I can narrow it down by checking once every 2 hours, but, only during that window of time, something like that.
