My old Android phone died. It was backed up fairly regularly to McAfee. I got a new phone (which required a new sim, but same #). On the new phone I have not installed MMS yet. I did restore my Google contacts to it, but I had more device-only contacts in my old phone contacts which I would like to recover. And, I've added new contacts on my new device.
My question is : If I RESTORE my contacts (after installing MMS on new device) from my McAfee backup, will it MERGE the backed up contacts into my new device's contacts, or wipe it first, then restore only the backed up content? If it is a merge, will it avoid duplicates?
