    Client DAT's not updating

      I have over 600 machines out of 2500 total contacting EPO but not updating their DAT's. The product versions are:

      VirusScan Enterprise8.0.0
      VirusScan Enterprise8.0.0.912.Srv
      VirusScan Enterprise8.0.0.912.Wrk
      VirusScan Enterprise8.5.0
      VirusScan Enterprise8.5.0.781.Srv
      VirusScan Enterprise8.5.0.781.Wrk
      VirusScan Enterprise8.7.0
      VirusScan Enterprise8.7.0.570.Srv
      VirusScan Enterprise8.7.0.570.Wrk

      The clients are WinNT, 2000, XP and Server2003. The EPO agent versions are 3.6.0.603.

      I see no rhyme or reason for this behavior since the clients are actively contacting EPO and other clients are updating without issue. Any ideas on how I can get this 25% of my environment updated?

          possibly the recent engine update has caught some of them

          can you post some agent logs from the period covering the update task. thanks

            Are the failed clinets all using different repositories ?

              To the EPO server. They each have a local repository that is updated from the EPO server. The remote repositories are up to date and there are clients with correct updates at the same sites with the "problem" machines.

              What Agent logs are you looking for? Is it the ones you get by going to http://client:8085/ ?

                    On a couple of clients it looks like the [Deployment] task may be hung and running over and over - what is the best way to stop this?

                      Stop the McScript process on the client and I'd recomend enforcing a maximum run time of your tasks. In some case you may need to stop/restart the McAee related services such as the task manager and framewrk services
