I would have thought that you may need to restart the agent. Easy enough to test though.

anyway, my agent don't seems to comunicate with the server sad
Stupid question : have you logged on your system to let the agent communicate?
Is your system recognized as a distributed repository (by your epo server) ?
ok, my agents comunicate with the server now as this morning, they received the latest dat files. however, the new port configuration is not being changed.
i wonder if i should do a reinstalation on the agent ...
Reactivate them no?
i don't see any option to reactivate the agent.. :(
can you please explain how to do that?

I just had a reply back from McAfee and here is their response:

I understand that you need information changing Agent communication port what are the consequences.
Since the agent will be using the port which is set currently to communicate with ePO, agent will not pick the new port on their next communication with the ePO server once you change the communication port. You need to re-deploy the agent to the client machines.
Kindly refer KB article KB57779 for changing the agent communication port.

I only just realised when creating this reply that the guy from McAfee has sent this response adivising me on how to change the "agent to server communication port" and not the "agent wake up port". Looks like its back to McAfee, oh great sad

but i don't know how this french guy have all those options..
i only have:
modify task on a single system
show agent log
and wake up agent...
however, i changed the port to wake up the agent, ence, i cannot wake them up since thay cannot comunicate on that new port.
maybe a reinstall is needed like the "agent to server communication port".
