thankyou for the reply, but you misundserstand me. I know 'what' Netshield for Netware is, but i would like to know what the option does in relation to the the server task "Repository Pull" , as i thought Netshield could only get its updates from an FTP server or such like, and NOT directly from an EPO repository. I want to know what that option does
I also understand that Netshield is going end of life at the end of this year
Some of the "Legacy" products such as Netshield have adiffernet directory structure expected for their DAT updates etc. that the current AV products and I think all this does is tell the pull process to create an additional structure that is compatible with the Netshield expectations.
Well, unlike the VSE 8.0 and 8.5 etc for Windows , you do not control which repositories are available to the clients through the EPO Agent/McAfee Agent Policy or in this case (EPO Agent for Netware 2.1.0) the , you speciify where the client gets its updates from in a client task you create in EPO 4.0 for the netware clients, and you tell it the location it pulls from. At the moment it is set to pull from an internal FTP server, i like to know if, with the "Support Netshield for Netware" enabled, you can point the task to get the updates from the master repositories or a UNC path repository.
