Not sure but why not put it in as an exclusion and then use an eicar file in that folder. If it finds the eicar, then the exclusion didn't work.
Thanks for replying. We ended up calling McAfee and they said it would not accept a wildcard, but would accept a * instead (asterisk)
So we've rolled out:
C:\Documents and Settings\*\Application Data\Adapt\TMP
And I 'think' this is working but need to double check.

Yes - this did work.
Hope others can benefit from this question - as I couldnt find anything about it in documentation or on the web (experts exchange etc)
