    Upgrade Drive Encryption 7.1.3.547 to 7.2.1.24 fails on system with Opal encryption

      Hi,

      I have a system which harddisk is encrypted with Opal encryption.

      The system is running fine with Drive Encryption version 7.1.3.547.

      When upgrading to 7.2.1.24, the Drive Encryption status says 'An Error Occurred' and the MfeEpe.log file says:

      2017-04-24 07:31:53,002 WARNING CPAPIMonitor                         Receiver couldn't process new integrations: [0xEE7F0002] Failed to open session with PIN

      2017-04-24 07:31:53,033 ERROR   MfeEpeOpalEncryptionProviderPlugin   ..\..\..\Src\EpeGenInitHandler.cpp: EPE_gen_init_handler::handle: 279: [0xEE7F0002] Failed to open session with PIN

      2017-04-24 07:31:53,033 ERROR   MfeEpeOpalEncryptionProviderPlugin   Initialization failed.

      2017-04-24 07:31:53,033 ERROR   MfeEpeCoreEncryptionPlugin           Encryption Provider {6477FB57-DCF1-418E-9948-9F32C57B0FA4} is in FAILURE state. Initialization aborted.

      Also, the modules in the 'Drive Encryption System Status' screen do show they're upgraded to 7.2.1.24, but in the PBFS they're still on 7.1.3.547.

      On an identical system with software encryption, the upgrade works fine and the modules in both Windows and the PBFS are upgraded.

      Removing Drive Encryption on the Opal system and clean installing with 7.2.1.24 works fine. The Opal disk is then encrypted successfully and all modules show 7.2.1.24.

      Any ideas?
