take all the machines name as txt then add them to the ePo 4.0
Thanks for your reply, but I cannot see an option to export a list of machines to a txt file. Any hints?
* I believe I need to run a query on the ePO DB to retrieve the machines. Am I right?
You can either run a report and export the report as an xls or similar format and get the list extracted from that which can then be imported elsewhere - OR - you can simply use the directory search and use "save as" to get a text file.
Yes it works. I need to find out how to import this file into ePO4.0 as it seems that there is an option to add computers and separate with comma.
You're welcome :)
...don't know about ePO 4 but in 3.5/3.6 you can simply right click on a group in the directory and import the text file with the clients simply one per line - so I'd guess it's possible to do it that way in 4.0 as well (but not using right click of course)
In the system tab if you are looking at the system tree. There is a button at the bottom "New System" click it and you will be able to "Import systems from a text file"
That should get you there.
thanks for your reply...
We still have not tried it, but I will update the thread once we have done it.
