You need to check in Agent 1345 into your central EPO repository and then it's up to you.. you can either create a deployment group with a client task that updates the agent, or just select any number of PCs and select Deploy Agent from the system menu.
Either way you dont have to reboot the machine - happy days... Although if you have any Windows 2008 servers and you're running VirusScan 8.5 you have to update it to Patch 7.
That's actually what my question is about...
...when you create a task for deployment of the new version of the agent, there is only INSTALL, not upgrade.
Will the Windows Agent automatically assume that "install" means "upgrade?"
...or is this like VSE 8.5 -> 8.7 where you really need to uninstall it first.... then reinstall.
you dont have to uninstall something.
When you create an deployment Ttsk select under deploy - after checking in the new Agent - McAfee Agent 4.0.0 for Windows and install.
It uninstalls the old, and installs the new one in one task.
