I have seen the same and other similar errors (in ePO 4.5) - anyone know the cause?

            EVENT 1004

Reporting queued error: faulting application Apache.exe, version 2.2.9.0, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.762, fault address 0x0001507a.

            EVENT 1000

These look like 3 different issues.

              1. This may be because there is another application installed loading another version of cryptocme2.dll. If you look at the running modules in msinfo, do you see a version this dll running from a non-McAfee location?

              2. Not sure about this one, but it looks like you are also running ePO 3.6.1 which goes end of life in about 2 weeks, so I would suggest upgrading to at least ePO 4.0.

              3. Not sure about this one. This looks to be on ePO 4.5 by the Apache version. When did the issue start, When does the crash occur (what frequency)? I would also look in the server.log when this happens to see if there is any more information.

              • 4. Re: RE: Apache error on restart

I'm assuming (1) isn't referenced to me.  As for (2), both errors I submitted are from our ePO 4.5 server - I've already alerted our onsite SAM and submitted our DB for testing but was curious as to whether anyone else had any insight.  There doesn't seem to be any pattern to the errors though we normally see one a day.  Server.log and the backup have been overwritten since the last error at 2pm but i'll look for a more specific error there next time it occurs...

The first two are for syerdon001. If the SAM is alerted, we should be able to work this from there.

We have this issue as well.  We have an escalated case opened with Mcafee, has been open for 3 months.  Our error started after epo server upgrade from 4.0 to 4.5.

Upgrading to 4.5 patch 1 didn't change it. It doesn't appear to be impacting service.
