Managed Endpoint Failing to Update Point Products

Dear McAfee Community,

We have a managed endpoint (laptop) here with Win 7 installed and the following point products:

  • MA 5.5.1.388
  • VSE 8.8.0.2024
  • HIPS 8.0.0.4210
  • DLP 11.0.200.1002

There is a Product Update task which runs several times during the day that updates VSE and HIPS and a few other things.

Additionally, this endpoint has a manual tag applied to upgrade DLP to 11.2 (also scheduled to run a few times throughout the day).

Both are failing however, the below is an extract from the masvc log from the device.

It appears though, that the task was invoked, please see the snippet below (also at line 12 in the above extract).

Extract from masvc - task has invoked?Extract from masvc - task has invoked?

Would it be worth examining the local install logs from the windows\temp\mcafeelogs on the client, if the task has really invoked? Perhaps McScript can also shed some light too?

Cheers guys 😉
