Download Software Product List is getting failed all the times, tryed so many times ?
this client will download this product over internet or from ePO server ?
1. Converting Unmanaged Agent to Managed is different than "Download Software Product List is getting failed" is a different issue.
McAfee Agent 4.x Standalone and Command Line installation instructions:
2. For Download Software Product List is getting failed: Check if you are getting this error: "ERROR: Failed to download file C:\Progra~1\McAfee\EPOLIC~1\DB\licensed_products_list.xml.tmp. There was a connection error: Issue with the certificate (12175)"
If so, check https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB74029 and below posts.
"Framepkg.exe" C:\Program Files(x86)\McAfee\ePolicyOrchestrator\DB\Software\Current\EPOAGENT3000\Install\0409
now i have installed mcAfee Agent for epo and and deployed agent from system tree options, wakeup agent is also done.
But still systems are in unmanaged state. any solution?
ePO copies the FramePkg.exe to target computer (at the time of deployment from ePO) and executes the file- after execution the installer reports to ePO as Completed. If the installation fails mid way ePO does not get that failure notification at all. You need to manually check the FrmInst.log (C:\Windows\Temp\McAfeeLogs OR ?temp%\McAfeeLogs) for McAfee Agent installaltion. If its failed. It won't report to ePO at all. You need to check FrmInst.log to see why it got failed.
Also, in some computers (especially in RDP session) 'M' icon does not show up. You need to open command prompt and goto C:\Program Files\Network Associates\Common Framework\ abd run 'CmdAgent.exe /s' to launch McAfee Agent Status Monitor and M icon.
You may need to manually copy the FramePkg from ePO (C:\Program Files or x86\McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator\DB\Software\Current\EPOAGENT3000\Install\0409\) to target computer and run with local admin rights and monitor FrmInst.log (C:\Windows\Temp\McAfeeLogs OR ?temp%\McAfeeLogs).
If the Agent is installed as per FrmInst.log, you may have a look at Agent_<system>.log if the Agent is able to connect to ePO and perform ASC.
