epo 5.3: Agent deployment successful but server log reports failed

Jump to solution

Hi everybody,

When deploying the agent from the system tree using an agent handler the server task log reports Failed although the install worked and the system is shown as managed in the system tree after reporting back.

When the ePO itself is used as agent handler for the deployment the server task log reports the task correctly as Completed.

Has anybody else come across the same issue?

Details:

ePO 5.3.0 Build 400

Agent 5.0.2

I found the issue. The agent handlers failed to communicate to the ePO on port 8444.

I am having this same issue and realize this is an old thread...

Is there a way to change the port being used?  Under server setting > Ports I can only change the secure port, Agent wake-up communication port, and the Agent Broadcast communication port.  Everything else does not show an ability to be changed on the fly....
