ePolicy Orchestrar 5.30, running out of EOL - what consequences for futher use?

Jump to solution

Dear Community,

can you help me out please? How about McAfee ePolicy Orchestrar 5.30 and the EOL ?  What consequences running out of Support Notification (12/2016) and runnning out of EOL (03/ 2019) can you expect?

Still getting "DAT-FILES" as Anti Virus Definitions? Still getting new packages for McAfee Agent, VirusScan and DLP? Forget about new packages, but are there still new Virus Definition Update (DAT), so the computer still is protected?

I did'nt found anything on End of Life Notices  or on KB88252. Please help 🙂

Yes, as I stated, epo will still function as it does now.  The only thing that will stop the pull task or software manager is for your grant/license to expire.

Everything will still function, but there will be no more fixes if any issues found and if you have problems with it that require a case opened, we will do best effort to support, especially when it comes to getting you upgraded to newer version.  But support will be very limited for problems you might run into with it and you will be asked to upgrade to a supported version.

Great. Thanks for your fast answert. Sorry but that is too inaccurate. IT demands details.

I am particularly interested in getting the server downloading still new DAT files and still can download things in the software manager through online repository?
