ePolicy Client & update.nai.com

Hello Everyone
I'm sorry if I failed to find a pre-existing thread on this, but I'm trying to understand why is it that even having an ePolicy server configured and accessible, some of the computers on my network still go out to update.nai.com.
I see those connections on my WebSense server. They're not blocked but they eat my WebSense licenses and that's what I'm trying to avoid. These are computers that just run automated processes, where no users will be browsing the internet. I see connections to that URL and I can't find a way to restrict those computers to onlyl getting updates from my ePolicy server.
I thank you in advance for any help.

RE: ePolicy Client & update.nai.com

Try to disable "Automatic Update tasks" on VirusScan via ePO or manually.

You do not say what kind of McAfee stuff u are using...

RE: ePolicy Client & update.nai.com

Sorry. I'm using ePolicy 3.6.1, deploying VirusScan 8.5.0, with the anti-spyware module.

If I disable Automatic Update Tasks, the computers won't come to the ePo repository for updates anymore and I'd have to configure a different scheduled update task?

RE: ePolicy Client & update.nai.com

No, you will control updates only with ePO Scheduled Update tasks.

Are u sure every client on your network get the McAfee Agent?

If a client hasn't the agent, it will use default HTTP/FTP Nai update sites...

RE: ePolicy Client & update.nai.com

Yeah. I thought about that, but they do have the agent and the AutoUpdate Repository List shows my repositories only, and not McAfee default.
