ePO moved from domain to workgroup

Hello all, i need to ask if i want to move my ePO server from domain to workgroup will it be still communicate with clients in domain ?????

Currently my ePO server is in DMZ and DC's and clients are in Inside and ePO is joining the domain and as per new standards from my org i want to remove ePO from domain and i need solution for this.

A safer and more secure solution would be to move your epo server to inside the network, keep it on the domain, and put an agent handler in the dmz to handle external traffic.
