Agent is communicating back all other information. I know HIPS is installed I can view the threat log events (on the machines having this problem) in ePO. This is with both version 7 and 8 (in process of upgrading)

In the McAfee Agent 'general' policy applied to these machines, try ticking:
Agent-to-server communication: Retrieve all system and product properties (recommended). If unchecked retrieve only a subset of properties.
Apply that policy change and see if ti makes any difference.
Failing that, try an agent wake-up call with full props collection.
It would be handy to know under what circumstances that this 'ripper' tool is required, ie what was the root cause of the issue? I have never heard of this tool before, would be interesting to know when it is needed.
