ePO fails on Agent deployment


I'm having an issue with my ePO 4.0 Patch and Agent 4.0.

when I'm adding a new computer to the system root, i have three workgroups my epo server is i one of this groups, but the computer is in a different group. so when i'm deploying the agent in this computer i can deploy it.

could somebody help me please

As you have to use local rights you can try this:

Domain: workgroup_name_of_the_machine
User: .\administrator
Pass: your_local_admin_password

my workgroup is PRUEBA
the machine name is XPWEB1
my user (admin privileges) is aa

No. Assuming that you have you've already targeted the XPWEB1 machine (manually selected it from the System Tree group), it will display its name against the 'Target Systems:' box. You simply need to type in PRUEBA for the 'Domain', the local administrator name for the 'User name' (in your case aa) and its associated password in the box underneath.

This got me too. I've built a HP ProLiant DL380 test server, on which I've repliacted my works' ePO4 infrastructure (policies, client tasks, etc), as we want to go to from ePO patch 2 to patch 4 and from VSE 8.5 to VSE 8.7, and my two test PCs are in the one workgroup, and was getting authentication problems.

Also, since they are in a workgroup and not a domain, I believe authentication comes from having the same account with the same password on both machines. I wasn't sure if I had to do this or not, so I did it anyway. Maybe someone could clarify this...
