Hmm, you would think that running the same query would produce same results. Please open a ticket with McAfee and show screenshots of results both methods (api and epo console query) and epo mer.

Re: ePO Web API info

I think what's happening here is as follows... ePO stores the IP address in the database in IPv6 format. When you create a query that contains the IP Address column and run it, the query returns the raw data in IPv6 format, and the console then processes it and displays it in IPv4 format if necessary. But when you run the same query via the API, you get the unprocessed IPv6 format.

A possible workaround could be as follows: instead of creating a query in ePO and invoking it from the API, you can run an ad-hoc query from the API directly. This allows you to specify the exact column you want to use, and there is a column in the EPOComputerProperties table that contains the IP address in a human-readable format. Try the following query as an example:

curl -k -u admin "https://ePOserver:8080/remote/core.executeQuery?target=EPOLeafNode&select=(select+EPOComputerProperties.ComputerName+EPOComputerProperties.IPAddress+EPOLeafNode.LastUpdate)"

Thank you the query worked to get the IPv4 address; however i need to add many columns to the report, when i try adding the OperatingSystem, Name ( its the name of the AWS account) & power status, its giving an error;

Unknown column:Name for table:EPOComputerProperties

Could i get some information what tables should i need to select for various columns?

Regards,

Mahesh

https://ePOserver:8080/remote/core.executeQuery?target=EPOLeafNode&select=(select+EPOComputerProperties.ComputerName+EPOComputerProperties.IPAddress+EPOLeafNode.LastUpdate+EPOComputerProperties.OSType)

Try the above link to get the OS type information with all other previous properties as selected.

If you need more add the + sign withoutspace table name with DOT column name of the table to get those information.

To get all required columns that you want, you can first create a query in epo, save it, then view sql.  It will show you table/column names.
