ePO Update Available

Jump to solution

Dear Support Community,

I have ePO 5.9.1 running on Windows 2012 R2. My ePO Software Manager is reporting a strange status under Mcafee Endpoint Security 10.5.

Status: Update Available | Action not applicable for bundle

There are shown 9 updates that seem not to be applicable. My question is why do I see updates available when they are not applicable and how can I get ePO to show only related updates?

Thank you

The action isn't applicable to the bundle because not every item in the bundle needs an update.  If you click on the bundle name, it will bring up a list of the contents of the bundle and show you which ones in red need updating.  You will need to download each of those items separately.  Unfortunately, that is the way that point product team bundled it.

I was with the same doubt...

But, if I click on "McAfee Endpoint Security 10.6", it says that there are 4 updates available, but nothing in red is shown on the list.

I've already downloaded the February Hotfixes and applied manually to ePO.

Very confusing!

Can you show a screenshot of where it says 4 updates are available and a screenshot of the list in the bundle?

Under component, the first 2 entries are bundles.  Click on each one and get a screenshot of what is in each.

Ok it is showing updates available because you still have the older hotfixes checked in.  ENS is a little picky - your clients might fail to update if there are more than one version of the hotfix in the same branch.  I would remove your older versions to get rid of that updates available message.
