ePO Disaster Recovery Steps

Can someone point me to the McAfee link on ePO disaster recovery on Windows?

I am following the below steps but ends up with the attached error

1. Restore the DB (was taken after snapshots)

2. Install ePO, select the option " Restore ePO from an existing database Snapshot "

Re: ePO Disaster Recovery Steps

I have checked this link, it's confusing. It says

. For ePO 5.x users, it is preferable to use the built-in Disaster Recovery feature and use these steps only if a valid Snapshot was not created and a manual recovery is required

I am trying to restore ePO 5.1.1 with snapshots. What are the steps needed for complete disaster recovery?

Re: ePO Disaster Recovery Steps

Ok, for snapshots.

1. You need to have made a snapshot that was saved to the database, this is done with a server task and should be on by default.

2. you need to reinstall the exact same version you are trying to recover. When prompted, point it to existing database.

So it does look like you are following the right steps. Go look in %temp%\McAfeeLogs and all the logs should be there. If should give you a better idea of what is happening.

Check that you have more than enough space on your sql server for your temp, data and log partitions.
