in our business we have problems with some workstations (more than 20) by the moment. Just an example.
This workstation has the agent 4.8 deployed (last version). Also last version of Mcafee antivirus 8.8.
It is reachable from ePO and is also enabled acces by c$ and admin$.
Ping response and there is no Firewall between ePO Server and workstation.
I have uninstalled manually the agent and i have installed again.
Also the admin that we are using from ePO is an admin too in the workstation.
The workstation is not duplicated.
Still not working
We get this error:
|3/03/14 17:42:54||Waking up agent W1001259 using NetBIOS|
|3/03/14 17:42:54||Unexpected HTTP response code 500 received from remote computer|
|3/03/14 17:42:54||Wakeup agent failed|
|3/03/14 17:43:52||Expired. The task will be stopped.|
Can someone help me? Is a really weird bc i can't understand why i can't activate the agent, if I throw de deploy of the agent it works but when I try to activate it then I et the error that i showed before.
Thanks a lot.
Hello, thansk for answering.
There is no a Local Firewall between computer and ePO Server. Also Windows Firewall is disabled.
Ping is working fine by name and by IP even doing ipconfig /flushdns (just in case).
Still not managed...
did you upgrade your ePO from a previous version? I think there was/is an issue when upgrading from ePO 4.x (5.0?) and MA 4.8 to ePO 5.1 that clients may unable to connect to ePO. As far as I know there is a hotfix available.
yes. We did an upgrado to 5.1 version from 4.5 i think. Firstly going through the 4.8 version.
So if there is a hotfix to fix this problem you know which one is it? Do you have a link or the name of the hotfix?
Hi Miguel, did you try what I told you about deleting the embedded credentials agent with the /forceuninstall and trying to install the standard McAfee Agent.
You should check the agent log and see what happens when trying to connect to ePO server
