ePO 5.1 Fails to Load Extensions

Jump to solution

We have had this happen twice now which means it is potentially an issue with the software.  The Server crashed due to some power issues we are having here and as a result now errors when loading extensions.  After enabling Debug logging on the Orion log we get the following errors which then cause a domino effect as all other extensions are dependant on this.

2014-10-02 09:14:54,315 INFO  [localhost-startStop-1] servlet.OrionPluginContextListener  - MFS Context "DataChannel" startup...

Has anyone seen this before and knows how to assist with getting this up and running?  Or is there somewhere else i can look for information?

Thanks

It was a group policy option, deny local login.  Once removed everything came back up.  Appears to only affect epo servers when sql is on a separate server.

Can you paste the error stack you are getting from the login screen?

Can you successfully go to the core/config page and test your DB connection?

If you go to the server\conf\catalina\localhost directory do you see all the .xml extensions in there?

Is your SQL services started to include the SQL browser?

Hello I have the same error, could you please give more information about the group policy option that needs to be changed ?

Thanks in advanced.

Hi Carlos,

It was a matter of allow interactive login for the domain service account being used by ePO to connect to its database.  2 quick different ways around this create a local sql account or add the service account to local admins.  I recommend these only for short term to get it working whist you sort out the group policy that is preventing the service account from Interactive login.  I cannot remember if this affected servers with the SQL server sharing the same box as ePO or running on a dedicated Windows server for SQL server.

Thanks

Matt
