ePO 4.6.0 support for SQL Server 2008 R2 w/ SP1?

Jump to solution

Does McAffee officially support service pack 1 for SQL Server 2008 R2? I realize at the time that most of the 4.6.0 documentation was compiled, this service pack didn't exist. We would like to patch the database server to SP1, but just want to make sure that we don't take ourselves out of support for ePO or create known compatibility issues.

Thanks,

-Jamie

Hope this helps:

From their main page: McAfee ePO System Requirements

Database (32-bit and 64-bit):

SQL Server 2008 with SP1/SP2/R2 Standard, Enterprise, Workgroup, Express

SQL Server 2005 with SP3 Standard, Enterprise, Workgroup, Express

Also KB50473 McAfee support statement for verifying and validating Microsoft Patches

"Service Packs - within 30 business days of the official Microsoft GA (general availability) date"

Tao,

Thanks for the info. I saw the requirements specifying that R2 was supported, but didn't seen any indication about SP1 for R2. But based on that KB article, it looks like that the R2 SP1 would be supported 30 days after the GA release. Many Thanks.
