dbo.EPOrollup_events table to be cleared.

Jump to solution
I tried already the ePO server task "purge rollup data" , it run for 10 days and it never finished, I had to stop it. Can I remove the data from the table from the DB itself? It is now huge in size and we don't use the rollup events anymore. Will something like "delete from dbo.EPOrollup_events " work without breaking anything? Data can be completed removed, table included. This is ePO 5.3.2 and this is required to clear out space for ePO upgrade.

No, you cannot drop the table.  Turn off all epo and agent handler services and then try to truncate that table.  It should be immediate, not hours.

There are no foreign key constraints on that table, so you can run truncate table eporollup_events.  Just make sure always to have good backups before making changes to database.

Hello again,

I run the "truncate table dbo.EPOrollup_events" command.

It run for 10 days and the server crashed. If I try to reorganize and/or rebuild the indexes of such table, the same, it hangs or even crashes.

Is it safe to try to drop the table? It is not used anymore, and there are not tasks anymore collecting such data.
