almost every time I run a client deployment task to update my MA to version 18.104.22.1682 it fails. It will either get to 2 out of 3 of the little green bars and then the third bar will be red. I'm not getting much information from the Server task log. The Windows event logs show the installation was successfull for some. This happens on XP, 2003, 2008 R2. When I just use Deploy Agents via the System Tree things work fine except on 2008 R2 becase of UAC not allowing interactive services but that's another issue.

How are you setting up this deployment?
You said that when you use Deploy Agents the installations worked fine. What other method are you using?
Do you have the Installation log file for these systems?
It's under %Temp%\McAfeeLogs\FrmInst.log
I just go in and create a client task using the current branch of the agent which is 22.214.171.1242. Then from the System Tree I select a machine or multiple machines and select the button called "Run Client Task Now". I then select the task I created. I've seen this fail every time but one and that was on a 2008 R2 machine. It has failed so far on all XP machines, 2003 and other 2008 R2 machines. I can't see anything in the logs other than below on some machines that looks like an error.
The Deploy Agents method via the System Tree always works.
I found this in the log

Try to assign this task you created to run on every policy enforcement and set the schedule to Run Immediatly.
I'm not very familiar with Run Task Now configuration.
