Workstations disappear in the ePO console

Hi
I'm using EPO 4.0, and I have a problem with some workstations where I have installed the agent. First, although I've installed it, some of the workstations from one subnet don't appear in the list of worksations, other do. And if I try "cmdagent.exe /P" in the workstation to force the communication then it appears in the ePO console, perfect... But unfortunately, it disappears again a few minutes later.

What may be happening?

Thanks a lot

RE: Workstations disappear in the ePO console

The workstations dont have duplicate GUID due to imaging do they?
or multiple NIC?

both of these will make this happen

No, they don't. Only one NIC and if I search for the IP, no machine is found.

RE: Workstations disappear in the ePO console

This issue is usually caused by systems sharing the same EPO Agent GUID. It happens a lot at my place of work due to people imaging systems.

Check the suspect systems by going into the registry and seeing if the Agent GUID's are the same. The registry key is below:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Network Associates\ePolicy Orchestrator\Agent

We run a SQL script that shows system that have this issue since it will prevent them from appearing in the EPO directory.

I am actually still waiting on the systems guys in charge of the DB to make the changes that Kadoro pointed out in "Document ID: 615809" so i can't say yet if it fixes my issue or not.
