VSE strategies : user interface strategy doesn't work

Hi !

I want to allow my customers using VSE on their PC.
They just have to enter a password as I can specify on my user interface strategy.

I enter a password on my ePO console, and I reactive the agents.

The error is that my clients CANNOT enter a password because the Tools/user interface option is not available (in green, "unclickable") in the VSE console in user's PC.

What should I do?
How can I let them access to the planification on their VSE console?

You configure this via the AV Policies in ePO under the User Interface Policies section - especially "Other"

There ?

It doesn't work Smiley Sad

Edit: Strategy (for me) = Policy Smiley Wink

This is what I've done to (try to) generate a password for the users.

Smiley Very Happy

and for the password:

RE: VSE strategies : user interface strategy doesn't work

Sorry - it looks too different under your ePO 4 interface - my epO 3.5/6 simply has an "Other/Autre" SEction in the Policy after the Unwanted Programs Policy and Autoupdate Policy sections that allows me to lock/unlock Console access amongs other items....

No problem Smiley Wink

Precisions (to make me sure I am understood Smiley Tongue ) : When I don't impose the password, I have access to the user interface options.

But if I want to have a password to allow the user not to be on "read" mode (so to be in "write" mode), there is this :

I can't go to the options to enter my password :/

Is it a problem with the access protection policy ?

RE: VSE strategies : user interface strategy doesn't work

I understand what you mean - what we have setup using ePO 3.5 and VS is to have selected the "Password Protection For Selected Items" option and then selectively lock/unlock the options we wish protected.... I don't think that teh Access Protection settings are involved....
