Upgrade to 10.7 ENS

I just have a quick question regarding upgrading to ENS 107.

the first step states to upgrade policies and clients tasks before upgrading clients.

If I upgrade the policies and tasks first, will older clients still be able to work against the migrated policies.

SO say on monday i migrate policies, etc, then on tuesday I start upgrading client endpoints then servers, will endpoints still work prior to upgrade?

Additionally, do endpoints need to be restarted after upgrading? This is a windows environment, and we all know windows wants reboots after all sorts of software installs and uninstalls, but I can't just go restarting servers during a workday.

Hello @AutomationGuy ,

There is a two step upgrade of any product.

1. Extension upgrade on EPO: that will update all your policies tasks and queries.

2. Package upgrade on EPO : once package upgraded then you can send a client task to upgrade ENS 10.7 on the client systems.

Extension has backward compatibility so policies and task will work fine with your client systems as well if they are in lower version.

Product update or installation does requires a reboot, depending on the product and under circumstances.
