Upgrade ePO from version 5.3.1 to version 5.10.4, error with SQL Server 2012

ePO 5.10.4 system requirements includes at least SQL Server 2012. However when I run the McAfee ePO Pre-Installation Auditor, I get an error, "Database compatibility level is 100. McAfee ePO 5.10.0 does not support SQL server compatibility level less then 110." I have SQL Server 2012 SP4 which is the latest update, however it still reports compatibility level 100. Is there a way to raise the compatibility level? Should I just go with ePO 5.9.x?
