The Deployment task is invoked but does not run. And the Update task does not even get called.

Reinstalling the agent (including /forceuninstall) does not fix this.

Any ideas?

RE: Update task not running

I've run into this on a few workstations, and I've found two methods that normally solve it:

  1. Edit the deployment task, by changing the schedule and changing it back. The agent will think the task has been modified.
  2. Create a new deployment task specifically for that machine.

That fix has worked for me several times in the past.
