Update Agent Handler IP on Endpoint

Jump to solution

Hello,

My Endpoint got updated with the wrong IP address for the Agent Handler and now unable to update the agent. I have followed KB66892, but that does not seem to update the agent. When looking at the information under McAfee Agent > About is still not showing just the Agent Handler with the incorrect IP address and no ePO server. Unfortunately reinstalling the Agent is not an option, are there any other solutions?

Many Thanks

In the agent product guide, there is a section for changing an agent from unmanaged to managed mode using maconfig.  Even though you are managed, it will still be appropriate for updating the sitelist.  If the agent handler, however, has 2 nics on it, make sure to add serveripaddress= to the server.ini to bind it to a specific IP, then make sure you see the agent being recompiled in epoapsvr log to rebuild it with new sitelist first.  See kb56308 and https://docs.mcafee.com/bundle/agent-5.6.x-product-guide/page/GUID-B66FC65A-B4CE-4077-94CB-64F7826E2...
