I am employed with an enterprise who holds a large contract with McAfee but I don't have access to any grant numbers. We have access to the license, we just built an ePO infrastructure here with the license at a smaller business unit off of the corporate enterprise, and was wondering if I could leverage the license key to get the grant number so we could receive support? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
The license is relatively permanent, grant numbers change at every renewal. I doubt you can access support without a grant number. Best bet is to try to get the grant number.
Oh ok. I was under the impression that the license would hold more weight but I guess in McAfee's case it is the grant numbers. From my understanding now, you can only get support if you have a grant number? What if I wanted to have a phone call tutorial of a product; something like testing a trial would receive? Thanks.
you can get a bunch of license keys once you have the grant.
McAfee has pre-sales engineers and they can provide pre-sales/pre-deployment support. You have to go through sales.
Greggel: McAfee (Intel Security) also has a youtube channel with some training vids on it - Intel Security Technical - YouTube (https: // www . youtube . com / user / McAfeeTechnical). This (or one of their other channels) may provide you the training you're looking for (as long as they're not droids ... :-) )
we also see multiple EPO license keys for customers. This happens if the customer buys several diffent product. Like, let me explan, the EPS suite. Additional some Move licenses or Application Control licenses. This is ususal.
For technical support you just need your grant number. With your grant number you can register an account yourself at https://support.mcafee.com. If you have a higher support level, you should always call the support directly, just a hint! ;-)
Get the person who manages the grant numbers to create a McAfee ID for your email account. You can then tie the Grant number to the ID. Won't necessarily help you get downloads, but you should be able to get TS for your products.
