Syntax for OAS exclusions question...

Hi guys, I have a question for you. I have a team of firmware engineers that utilize a few folders for code/firmware building that we would really like to exclude from on-access scanning. Problem is while the folder names are consistent, the drive letter AND leading root folders aren't. For example, one may be c:\somename\codedataxxx another may be d:\somename\anothername\codedataxxx while another could be e:\onename\somename\andagain\codedataxxx

Is there a wilecard syntax that can be used to basically tell the scanner "exclude this folder and all subfolders, whatever the drive letter and leading folders?

Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Syntax for OAS exclusions question...

Hi,

I recently tried to do something similar.
From what I gathered, you should type the exlusion like this:

**\Codedataxxx\

** means, any drive, any location. And you need to end it with a \ to notify EPO/VSE that it is a folder

if by XXX you mean random letters it should be the following I believe:

**\Codedata???\

Best regards
Pouria

[edit]

Found a KB article explaining how the wildcards are to be used in EPO.
