Schedule policy

Jump to solution

Hi! ePO 5.0.1, MAgent is 4.8. Is possible to make a policy, which will set a time for schedule? If it's not possible, where this settings are kept?

Re: Schedule policy

it is not a policy, it is a client task

System tree, Assigned client tasks, new client task assignment, pick mcafee agent, product update, create new task, name it and select the packages you want, save it, click next , set the schedule you want....

Go to system tree, client task assignment, find you update task and edit the assignment to modify the schedule.

There would also be a server task that copies stuff from mcafee to you ePO server on a regular basis.

Hi Guys,

I´m onsite in a customer that requested me how to schedule a policy deployment. It´s possible using tags and configuring to be applied in the specified time.

Tks.

@wlubke

It should be doable but has to be carefully engineered. Otherwise there may be unintended consequences.

1. Start by defining a tag based on your desired criteria.
2. Create a policy assignment rule to apply specific policies with that tag.
3. Schedule a server task to apply tag to specified systems.
