SQL database requirements for Epolicy 4.5

Jump to solution

Hello,

I want to upgrade my EPO 4.0 to EPO 4.5 and change the database from local to a remote SQL 2008 cluster.

I will build the Epolicy 4.5 from scratch, so i don't need to change and import the old database.

My questions:

1.) How much space do I need on my SQL Server 2008 for the Epolicy database holding ~1000 clients?

2.) How much traffic will the Epolicy <-> SQL Server communication produce?

3.) I want to use SQL server 2008. SQL server 2005 would be an option. Are there any problems with 2008 known wich makes 2005 a better option?

thank you

Hello,

The attached document should help you with the questions 1-2.

I'm not aware of any issues with SQL 2008. I have a couple of customers using this platform for a while without any issues.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Bruno
