Rhel issues with ePO communication

I have two RHEL systems, one RHEL 6 and the other RHEL 7. The RHEL 6 has a communication issue with the ePO server which is asked about  but a solution is never posted publically. The issues I have are almost entirely identical with error messages as well. What did the solution end up being for the forum post below?

The RHEL 7 system communicates fine but ODS tasks do not work properly for it. The log file just states that the max amount of ODS query requests has been reached over and over without executing any of them. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

 

I have re-installed agent and ENS on both systems, no change. I also have other windows systems in the same bed that work fine with no issues.

The max amount of ODS query requests has been reached error should go to the ENS team.

What exact errors are you getting with the agent?  500 Internal Server Error from the post you linked is typically only related to a superagent issue.  

In the masvc log, you would search for asci and follow that thread to see what the communication errors are.  There are many different causes, so the specific errors are important.  You would also match it up with the server log on the epo server or agent handler that the client is trying to talk to for same time frame.  There are basically 2 main types of errors.  Either the client isn't reaching the server at all (no corresponding entries in server logs) or the client reaches the server, but gets a response back for the failure.  The server log should indicate some error related to communication attempt.
