Question regarding EPO agent log URL

Hello,

we are using EPO 4.6.5 with EPO agent version 4.6.0.3122 on all clients. If we use “Show Agent Log” in EPO-Console the agent log is shown in IE using the FQDN http://hostname.DNS-suffix:8081. Is there any possibility to configure to use the IP address for agent log URL? For instance http://10.10.1.33:8081:8081 ? We have some DNS issues and I prefer to use the IP addresses in EPO console agent log window function instead of the FQDN of the appropriate EPO clients. Is that possible?

Thanks and best regards from Germany,

Janni

Re: Question regarding EPO agent log URL

I don't think that can be configured, sorry.

You can do it manually in a browser and the log session should still open but ePO will always try the fqdn.

Re: Question regarding EPO agent log URL

That's funny -- when I do "Show Agent Log", it uses my IP (http://172.16.38.114:8081/) not my FQDN.

But I'm running ePO 4.6.2. Maybe they changed it for 4.6.5?

Yep, changed in P3 or P4, I think.

Re: Question regarding EPO agent log URL

Hi,

thanks for your answers. Yes as I remember I got the IP addresses in agent log in former EPO version. But why McAfee has changed to that (crazy) FQDN in EPO version 4.6.5? It's stupid to retype the IP instead of the FQDN in agent log window!
