Question about ePO registered server ports

Jump to solution

Hi, I'm setting up a new ePO v5.1 server that is behind a firewall and want to make it a registered server to the old ePO v4.6.7 server outside the firewall so everything can be migrated over.  Will I need to open up any ports in the firewall for it to communicate with the old server?  Does the old server need to communicate with the new SQL database server which is also behind a firewall?  Thanks!

Hi,

registered servers connect together through their respective database. So they can talk if they can talk to the other server's database. Also add the ports required for the agent so the agent can talk to the servers. During the transfer process agents will have to talk to both servers.
