Queries on 'Server Tasks'

Jump to solution

Hi Experts,

We need to create queries on 'Server Tasks' (to identify Failed tasks) that run on 'Daily', 'Weekly' and "Monthy" schedules

For getting the 'Daily failed Server Task' csv report, I can use 1) shown below and schedule a CSV report.

But, how do I create queries for 'weekly' and 'monthly' tasks? I don't see any 'Schedule' filter.
Queries are required for us as we need CSV files for automation. Please advice.

1) For 'Result type' select 'Task Log Entries' > Chart type "Table" > For Columns choose 'Name', 'Start Date', 'End Date', 'Status' > For filter use 'Start Date 'Is within the last 1 Days'

There is no filter to specify schedule type.  You would basically just have to look for all failed tasks within a desired time frame.

Dear @Ramprakash,

May be you can give it a try as per the below steps.

1. Task Log Entry.
2. Select Boolean Pie Chart
3. Select Configure Criteria
4. Name equals to the task name irrespective of monthly weekly schedule.
5. Status is Failed.
6. In the Filter, you can select the step 5 as well.
7. Now export the query to a CSV file, may be you can automate this via Server task.

I hope the above helps.

Cheers!!!!!!

Not that I am aware of.  There are several tables involved and a good dba could probably figure it out, but we don't write custom scripts like that.
