Product conflict when running Deployment Task

Hi all,

I'm having some problems with pushing software to new clients. Resently I had to reinstall my ePolicy Orchestra completely due some problems on my server. I then had to restore the old EPO database into the new installation. It appeared as a succesfull restore, but since that restore, the Deployment task hasn't worked right.

When I connect a new client, and run the FramePkg.exe (which was newly made), the Agent is correctly installed on the client and the machine can be managed from the ePO.

But when I run the Deployment task for that client, nothing seems to happen.

This is the logfile, when I unly mark the "Virusscan Enterprise" to be installed:

30. oktober 2007 10:36:15 Info Scheduler Scheduler: Invoking task [Deployment]...
30. oktober 2007 10:36:15 Info Script Checking update packages from repository ePO_EPOSERVER.

30. oktober 2007 10:36:17 Info Script Closing the update session.
30. oktober 2007 10:36:17 Info Scheduler The task Deployment is successful
30. oktober 2007 10:36:17 Info Scheduler Scheduler: Task [Deployment] is finished

When I mark more products to be installed, ex. Virusscan and Anti-Spyware Enterprise (both 8.0), product conflicts starts occuring:

30. oktober 2007 10:56:56 Info Scheduler Scheduler: Invoking task [Deployment]...

30. oktober 2007 10:56:58 Info Script Closing the update session.
30. oktober 2007 10:56:58 Info Scheduler The task Deployment is successful
30. oktober 2007 10:56:58 Info Scheduler Scheduler: Task [Deployment] is finished

I looked at this page:
https://knowledge.mcafee.com/SupportSite/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=1248897&slice...
but the local task file on the client is correct.

What can I do to solve the problem? I have more clients waiting for installation, so I'd rather not do any manual installation on them.

Thanks in advance!

the same problem exactly for me
i couldn't understand the solution in the article
please help us in that because it's really serious

RE: Product conflict when running Deployment Task

I found that the solution was to check-in the *.z and NAP files again for the products. Even though it seemed that they were correct installed on the ePO server, they had to be checked in again.

Since I did that, the clients correctly installed the products. (Remember to reset the deployment tasks first as described in the article)

I hope this will help you, too.
