ePO 5.1.3 build 188
Agent versions in use - 188.8.131.52, 184.108.40.2066, 220.127.116.110
When using the Agent Version Summary query, the Product Version (Agent) column does not always display the managed systems agent version correctly. It seems that the Agent Version (deprecated) column always displays the correct agent version.
Throughout the day systems will bounce between being shown as no agent version and the correct agent version in the dashboard using the Product Version (Agent).
This is a concern if the deprecated column is not recommended to be used.
Attached are screenshots of the two queries, any comments or thoughts are appreciated.
The systems are all managed, and it is not a duplicate GUID issue.
The number of systems reporting no agent version is highest in the morning and it gradually goes down throughout the day.
I have noticed in the log files it seems like the machines reporting no agent version are all showing this in the log right before the last time communicated in ePO
property.Warning: Property collection session timed out
There's the threat event log and the client event log, client events are specific to the operation of the product and not protection per say. You can create a query and look at client events or click on a system that has the issue and look at client events.
2427 Agent failed to collect properties from at least one point product.
I do see those in ePO with an error code of Unknown failure occurred on property collection
But I also see that for some systems that correctly report their agent version as well...
Thank you for your comments and suggestions, I will see if I can get support through McAfee unless anyone can shed some more light on this issue.
