RE: Problem with Virus Scan deployement using ePO 3.6.0

ok now it's set to activated, i have to wait to see if it's gonna work.

a friend at work told me that may be ISA SERVER ( Firewall + contains rules for income and outcome flow : Internet-->my network & my network-->Internet) could affect the work of ePO.
My view on that is : that ISA SERVER has nothing to do with the flow inside the network,
the rules set up on it are about controling access to the outside and nothing else.

what is your point?

and about the error on the eventparser.log do you know what does it mean.

RE: Problem with Virus Scan deployement using ePO 3.6.0

*ISA between EPo and internet can screw up updates from mcafee
*ISA internal to network segment can block access to EPO

RE: Problem with Virus Scan deployement using ePO 3.6.0

ISA is between ePO and Internet but ePO still doing updates without any problem (thanks god).

Unfortunately ISA is in the internal segment of my network.

the rule related to McAfee server on ISA, are set up to permit all the traffic from Mcafee server --> to ISA itself and to the external network.

do you have any suggestion.

RE: Problem with Virus Scan deployement using ePO 3.6.0

if its configured ok and you have comms then there isnt a problem, its when someone sticks an isa in and doesnt configure it you may run into issues.

RE: Problem with Virus Scan deployement using ePO 3.6.0

Just got confirmation from support that 3.6.0.546 agent (possibly 3.6.0.569 waitning on confirmation) doesnt support AT LOGON task application so if you were using this as a schedule option change it to something else.

You mean you cant register for a corporate support portal account using a webmail address although you have a vaild support grant number?

I've checked the site help on the portal and there doesnt seem to be anything stating you cant use a free webmail account, check with customer support through the contact us page.
