Ok to restart the ePO server?

Jump to solution

I'm troubleshooting some issues and might need to restart the ePO server. Any repercussions If I do so? How will all the workstations act when doing so?

Same question goes for If I have to start/stop specific services - any repercussions?

Services to be restarted:

McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Application Server

McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Server

McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Event Parser

Using ePO 5.3.1

Go ahead and restart....  Users won't notice anything unless they have access to the EPO console.   Machines will try to talk to EPO, see no response, and will try again later.  Users will not see any error messages.
