My Client wants to know the last user logged on to the VDIs. I have an McAfee report that contains many devices, but no username is being captured.
how to find the username who logged in last, ultimately need to know who is using these VDIs.
, are you using VDI in persistent mode or non-persistent mode? Also was the mcafee agent installed in VDI mode? Username should be visible given that McAfee agent wake-up took place. YOu can see in the the system tree by adding "User Name" column. You can also create queries/reports also. From your ePO, click on any VDI session, at the bottom, you should see something similar.
, that looks strange. i mean user name is one of the most basic properties that the agent will report. can you log in to a vdi session and perform "collect and send props" from the McAfee shield on the bottom right hand corner? Then login to epo, locate the vdi session and see if user name is reported. normally when nobody is logged in and agent performs a wake up call, you may not see actual user.
I believe if the login session has ended, the Agent will not report an active user logged in. It may be that no one was logged in during the last Agent check-in. A logon session also could easily take place between Agent communications.
This really sounds like something that should be solved with logs from the local event log or the VDI system, not from the McAfee side.
