I'm having a few issues with ePO - SVM - agent communication
EPO Server 5.9
Test target Windows server 2012
System tree > Host > Products
MOVE antivirus common 4.6
I have followed the MOVE AV 4.6 guide to get this far and have deployed a SVM (through vSphere client), deployment via EPO doesn't seem to work (MOVE Antivirus Deployment - Automation) only option was DHCP in IP Pool I needed static. The SVM is now set up with static configuration via vSphere manually after creating the ovf package and filling in the template details.
EPO appears to be in communication with the SVM (this is only basic ping tests)
For the windows host in ePO I cannot deploy the client (multiplatform) all are on the same management subnet so no firewall issues.
A window with title "Error" Failed to load SVM Manager assignment policy. Clicking on OK the client deployment configuration highlights in red that no SVM Manager is available,
This policy I believe has been assigned to the host.
I'm at a loss where I might have gone wrong? I'm fairly new to ePO and MOVE.
Thanks Moe for the suggestion
The multiplatform client is available and I did check in the software.
I also updated all licensed s/w as well via Software Manager
Unfortunately I've had to disable 5.9 EPO and 4.6 MOVE products as an update from midnight 15th made the VSA available (according to event logs) and some of the systems crawled to a stop. We think this might due to the system not yet fully configured (due to the above) and elements of the old 3.6 is still resident on some of the servers.
We'll be revisiting this installation after following KB KB74700
Thanks for trying to help
I've managed to get this working on a development system. My process will be to manually remove all agents and start from fresh.
My best tip for EPO and MOVE AV is to carefully read the installation guide, it jumps from place to place making the installation tricky if you're not familiar with the product. The installation guide could be better and not make assumptions.
