Migration from SEP to ePO

Jump to solution

In the next few months we will be migrating from SEP to ePO and Im gathering info on the best/least painful process out there.

Is there a tool (supported or unsupported) which can automate the process of a compettive install from SEP v11 to ePO? Symantec has a tool called Symantec Endpoint Protection Integration Component http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=DOC2156 so is there something similar for McAfee?

Thanks

Depending on version, the McAfee VirusScan product will remove the SEP client before installing. It has a builtin script that checks if certain versions of antivirus are present on the machines and removes them.

Just try to deploy the antivirus from McAfee on a machine that has SEP installed and see what happens.
