McAfee removed on client via a script but still showing in EPO

Jump to solution

HI,

A number of machines have had McAfee removed using

MsiExec.exe /X {CE15D1B6-19xx6-4D4D-8F43-CF5D2C3356FF} REMOVE=ALL REBOOT=R /q

"c:\Program Files\McAfee\Agent\x86\Frminst.exe" /Remove=Agent /Silent

This removed the agent and the antivirus and looked all good to start with.

The problem now is that they are all still showing in EPO as having McAfee when they don't.

We did it this way to manage the restarts to enable Windows Defender.

What did we miss?

Hope you removed the product locally. MA is removed -so there is no one who sends updated property to ePO server to update the product's property.

In this case, I simply suggest to go ahead and delete the machine's entry from ePO server.
