Perhaps this information helps someone who has similar problems when running Pre-Installation Auditor.
Setting the language settings in English may be helpful.

Best regards

Re: McAfee ePO Pre-Installation Auditor 2.0.0.310 - APPCRASH "c0000005" (ePIP.exe / ePIPAPI.dll)

Hello Michael

I just found your post because I am encountering very similiar problems with the McAfee Pre-Install Auditor 2.0.0.310.

Unfortunately, my ePIP.exe crashes after i click the "Next" Button i cannot even run the tests.

I tried it on my production ePO (Windows Server 2008 R2, ePO 5.3.2) and on my test ePO (Windows Server 2012 R2, ePO 5.3.2) an i get very similiar results:

I tried to start the ePIP.exe with Right click -> as Administrator, I tried various compatibility modes, I tried turning off McAfee ENS, but nothing gets me further than the first "Next"-Button.

Any hints on my problem?

Best Regards

Angelo

just want to ed that RSA SQL check might not work properly on Windows 2008R2 setup because it tells that you need KB2919355 which is Server 2012 KB not 2008

Re: McAfee ePO Pre-Installation Auditor 2.0.0.310 - APPCRASH "c0000005" (ePIP.exe / ePIPAPI.dll)

I found this thread as I have a problem also with ePO Pre-Install Auditor tool

I don't seem to be able to add log files but the gist is that ntdll.dll is the faulting module.

I've logged a case but have been asked to download an older version over FTP and my organisation blocks FTP. waiting for a http link
