I just installed McAfee ePO 5.9.0 on Windows Server 2012 R2 and able to access the McAfee ePO Console page through "https://servername:8443" but I want to map this url to my different domain name as "https://www.domain-mcafee.com" for which have already created related domain name and tested but don't know where to map my existing domain name to this ("https://servername:8443") McAfee Console site name, if it were on iis then I could simply use the binding property of the site and the job would be done, but here don't know where to map this.
Moreover to the above, May I know the console url is based on apache or which web server?
Please help me resolve this issue.
You can go to agent handlers under server settings and edit the epo server to add published dns name. However, the certificate is issued to the local netbios servername, so you will get an invalid certificate when logging into the console. You can, however, follow kb72477 to create a certificate to the published dns name and install it.
Keep in mind, however, that adding that published dns name, it will cause all your clients to connect to the server by that name. So you would have to make sure dns resolves it correctly.
